fished the 18 th.annual point tournament today.This is a tournament for the physically challenged,we placed first overall in the adult division with the largest slot drum!
Seems as though spring time is trying to happen at the Galveston bay complex.Recent charters have produced lot’s of sheepshead,drum,and redfish.The Galveston Jetties have produced a few scattered Pompano and Jack Cravelle,a sure sign spring is just around the corner!tight lines…SEAPLAY Fishing charter’s.

Fishing has been spotty lately at the Galveston jetties.Some day’s producing good numbers of fish and others not so good. Black Drum, Redfish and sheepshead are showing at the jetties.Next few weeks should show better numbers of fish as the water warms.Tight Lines…SeaPlay Charter Fishing in Galveston Texas.
fished the Galveston jetties yesterday and managed a few big drum. they seem a little early this year as they usually show at the Galveston jetties in early to mid February.when the big uglies show it’s a sure sign spring is just around the corner.were still seeing the occasional Bull redfish as well. tight lines….
with the holidays upon us and the cold weather,I thought I would post unusual and or great catches.I’ve got to start this with the story of the Sailfish caught at the Galveston Jetties,he jumped when hooked and landed on the rocks!Lot’s of kingfish caught at the Galveston jetties as well.The largest shark caught that I’m aware of was a Lemon Shark,9ft. Long and est. at 300lbs.I often times get up early and catch bait in the marina,this summer I caught several juvenile Ling as well as numerous Tripletail!Not at all a common catch in the Galveston Yacht Basin.
fished the jetty today,redfish still there.got our limit and returned to the harbor looking for flounder,no takers.boat ran good,nobody got hurt,and caught fish!good day!
