Galveston Fishing charters

Galveston Deepsea Fishing Charter.

By Galveston-Fishing

Yesterday’s Galveston charter was a good one, fish were hungry.First spot at 35 mi. Offshore  in Galveston produced good action with Kingfish ,Spanish Mackeral and Bonito all caught on the troll. From there we went to a nearby platform and caught lots of Red Snapper, unfortunately these fish were released as we are out of snapper season. From there we worked several buoy’s in hope of finding mr. Long, several undersized fish were caught and released. We saw a couple of legal fish,est.30 to 40 lbs. but couldn’t get them hooked up. From there we returned to Galveston Jetties and caught and released several species of shark and one Bull Redfish that went in the box. Good day of Galveston fishing, calm seas, nobody got hurt and boat ran well! Tight Lines…..

Unusual catches of 2014.

By Galveston-Fishing

with the holidays upon us and the cold weather,I thought I would post unusual and or great catches.I’ve got to start this with the story of the Sailfish caught at the Galveston Jetties,he jumped when hooked and landed on the rocks!Lot’s of kingfish caught at the Galveston jetties as well. The largest shark caught that I’m aware of was a Lemon Shark,9ft. Long and est. at 300lbs.I often times get up early and catch bait in the marina, this summer I caught several juvenile Ling as well as numerous Tripletail! Not at all a common catch in the Galveston Yacht Basin.
